REFFA: The Regional Education Finance Fund for Africa (REFFA) is an investment fund managed by Blue Orchard, whichprovides customised financial services to increase access to education-related financial products and services. REFFA makes loans to Africa-based financial institutions who then on-lend to private affordable educationproviders and low and lower middle-income individuals for school fees.
Blue Orchard enlisted the services of a consortium led by PwC, London and CapitalPlus Exchange, Chicago, USA for an ambitious project for development and implementation of a portal to track the impact of REFFA loans in improving Affordability and Quality of Education in African countries.
Our Role:
Syspedia developed the FI Portal application as per the requirements of Blue Orchard, PwC and Capital Plus.
The system enables data porting from the MIS systems of the financial institutions to generate meaningful Affordability and Quality of Education parameters which can be tracked over time.
